Copper Foil Hanging Decoration (Winter)
These handprinted double sided hanging decorations feature different pairs of linocut winter themed images printed in my customary Prussian Blue with silver or gold suns in the centre handpainted in ink. The options are:
'Swirling' - flying birds on one side and a ring of mistletoe on the other.
'Winter Scenes' - a countryside village scene on one side and wintry woodland on the other.
'Starry Skies' - night sky on one side and sparkly stars on the other.
All 3 decorations can be bought together
This decoration weighs approximately 60g and so is suitable for hanging on a Christmas Tree or on a hook.
I have also glazed the decoration between two pieces of glass as a sandwich frame and have included a ring loop for hanging. I have edged the frame with copper foil and solder (lead 60% tin 40%) due to its excellent durability. The frame retains a lovely antique copper patina finish.
For hanging, I have included two ribbon options of a navy (which compliments the Prussian Blue print) or a copper metallic ribbon (which adds a touch of sparkle) to choose from. In keeping with the aims of my work, the ribbon is British made.
