The unique card wagon goods label from the North Eastern Railway (dated 1901) has original handwritten details of Selby, Skipton and Leeds. With an ink wash background, the wren is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. Finally, the painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.
