Badger - Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Wagon Label - Rawtenstall

This lovely old unique card Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway wagon label (pre 1923) has a reference to North Mersey, Liverpool and Rawtenstall. With an ink wash background, the badger is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 60% lead 40% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
This painting would make a lovely gift and is perfect for a collector.
