This is an LNER (London North Eastern Railway) livestock wagon label c.1923-1948. With an ink wash background, the wren is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. Finally, the painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.

This painting would make a lovely gift and is perfect for a collector.
