This pre-1923 Midland Railway Wagon Label has handwritten elements and references the ‘Co-op’. The red squirrel is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 60% lead 40% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
